As a lot of you might know, I am obsessed with music, concerts, new artists and all that good stuff. So this weekend was no exeption. My mom and I decided to go see Matt Simons live a couple months ago, we really like his music and we thought it would be fun to see him live together. Last Friday he had a concert in Paradiso, Amsterdam. Surprisingly, I had never been there before.
Paradiso is so small, which makes the concert 10 times more intimate. His support act was Chris Ayer, someone I didn't know. But turnt out to be an amazing singer, with great songs. After his performance the real concert started and it was soooo good! He was even better live than on his CD and my mom and I enjoyed every minute of him! The show finished with his most popular song, Catch & Release. A perfect way to end the night.
As I have experienced before, going to concerts is insane. It's incredibly hot inside and with people dancing, screaming, and sometimes even crying beside you it can get a bit overwhelming. So I Always decide to wear something with either short sleeves or something easy. Also, one of my biggest mistakes at concerts, wearing heels. I did, and I won't ever again! I wore high waisted jeans with a loose crop top and heels to the Matt Simons concert, to the Shawn mendes concert I decided to wear black jeans and a short sleeve shirt with my white nikes.
On Sunday, me and my friend had another concert. We were really Lucky to be able to get tickets as this concert was super popular, we bought tickets 2 months ago and were excited ever since! This concert was in Paradiso as well, so I kinda knew my way around. As soon as we arrived we walked into the longest line ever. Fans with blankets, pillows and bags full of food had been waiting the whole night. We waited in line for around 2 hours and when the doors finally opened everyone started running, screaming and pushing. But eventually we got inside and we were SO close to the stage!!! As I totally forgot to mention, we were going to see Shawn Mendes. I love his music, and especially since his album released last year I really wanted to go and see him live.
The concert started with his support act, James TW, which is a Singer from London and he's so talented! Everyone was so excited to see Shawn and when he came on stage, Paradiso exploded with screaming. I knew he was a great singer, but he is INCREDIBLE. He sounds so good live and he is so cute. We were enjoying every second and I screamed sooo much. I'm definitely going to see him again when he comes back in the Netherlands. He is such an amazing singer and performer.
I'm currently rewatching every clip I filmed over the past weekend. Hello Concert Hangover.
