Happy Easter!

I love Easter, I love seeing the weather change (although it's still pretty bad in the Netherlands), I love seeing the birds fly again and seeing the animals outside. And I love easter because: FOOD!

And, I mean, who doesn't love food.

In the Netherlands we have 2 easter days, same as Christmas. So on Sunday, easter day 1, we decided to go all out on breakfast and dinner. To say I was full at the end of the day was an understatement. We started off with breakfast which was amazing. My dad made an easter bread, we had croissants, scones and all kind of things. We have been to England a couple times now, And we all LOVE scones, so we made our own. They weren't nearly as good as the English ones, but with real clotted cream and jam, it was still pretty close.

A couple hours later we started preparing for dinner, which ended up being way too much, but delicious. The best thing was probably desert. My mom and I made it and it was amazing. We found the recipe in a magazine but it's really easy to recreate. We layered greek yoghurt, whipped cream, fresh fruit and macarons. Then we just repeated that 2 or 3 times to make a glass full.

On the second day of easter, we went to my grandparents, where we had a brunch with scones (AGAIN), croissants and eggs (ofcourse). It was delicious. After that we decided to eat the left overs of the day before, for dinner, which was more than enough. And after 2 days, we are back to healthy food again, oops.
