A new adventure.

January, February and most of March always take forever, and since easter is early this year my family and I decided to go on a weekend get-a-way.

Last weekend me and my family went to the otherside of the country. On friday night we drove to 'Paasloo', the little village where we were staying.

One of the many highlights of the weekend was the little town Giethoorn. We went to Giethoorn, which is like the ''dutch venice''. A small town with canals and boats. It was a really cute town, But extremely popular for tourists. Except for a few tourists we were the only people there.

There was this amazing little soap shop, I absolutely loved it. Some smells were awful but others smelled amazing. The other thing to see in giethoorn were the bridges, all across town. You couldn't even get to some of the houses without a boat or a bridge.

Another highlight of this weekend get-a-way was the sunday afternoon walk, after defrosting from the cold weather in a cute restaurant we went for a walk in the forest, which was cold and wet. It was now raining and the roads were getting slippery. After like an hour and a half of walking we were freezing, wet and exhaused. But it was absolutely worth it. The forest was breath taking and the rain made it even prettier.

After 3 days of lots of laughter and a lot of rain, we had to go back home again. It was really nice to disconnect from the world and spend some more time with my friends and family.
